The predicted salary is between 22000 - 26000 £ per year.
You will be joining a dedicated and motivated small team, undertaking an integral and varied role. We are a team that is motivated and excited as we engage with a recently refreshed Research and Development plan. This is an excellent time to join us as we step out on an ambitious path to widen our portfolio.
As a team player you will be confident in your role and experience and able to support the Research and Development Team. This role will require you to be flexible to meet a varied engaging and diverse portfolio of research that we undertake at Dorset HealthCare. This will strengthen our existing team commitment to further research integration across our Dorset; giving opportunity for our population to participate and benefit from engagement in research that is relevant to the unique demographic of our county.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check. This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.
The post-holder will work with the Dorset HealthCare Research & Development team. They will be required to assist in the delivery of first-class quality care to research participants and researchers who support research activity across the Trust. The post holder will assist in supporting a portfolio of clinical trials in accordance with clinical trial protocols, laboratory manuals and all relevant regulatory standards.
The role will involve:
- Collecting and managing research data and study documentation, including screening, consenting and interviewing study participants.
- Collecting, recording and maintaining research data records.
- Entering activity data and extracting information from databases.
- Providing clinical and administrative support to Research Nurses/Research Practitioners including performing clinical tests and investigations and undertaking laboratory work in processing and shipping samples.
- Supporting and being responsible for relevant studies in their own right.
The post holder will be required to work across all Dorset HealthCare locations, including the Weymouth Research Hub.
