We are a recognised regional specialist centre and receive referrals from all over the UK and abroad. Some of our patients require tracheostomy and CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) care, and we will ensure that you will receive training in these specialist skills. You will have the support of our experienced band 6 & 7 nursing team, therapists, doctors, and colleagues. We run weekly ward teaching sessions and are keen to provide more on other specialties. We are looking for nurses that have an interest in working in this specialised and rewarding area, to join our team. Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesJob responsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care through appropriate frameworks, including safe effective arrangements for discharge, underpinned by Trust values. Assist members of the team in the co-ordination of the clinical activities. Use clinical standards to participate in the process of monitoring the quality of care delivered. Act to ensure that nursing practice is of the highest standard, in line with Trust and CQC standards. Supply and/or administer medication safely in line with Trust medicines policy. Assess and support patients with adherence and understanding of their medication, advise on the promotion of health and prevention of illness.
