The directorate is focused on providing the right interventions at the right time, bringing services together across the directorate and with our partners to improve outcomes for our service users.About The JobThe Assistant Director for Adult Services will lead a committed team of managers and will be responsible for the strategic oversight and development of a wide range of services including Adult Social Services, Independent Living and Preventative Services and Adult Safeguarding. The post holder will also oversee the Housing Support Programme and the commissioning and quality monitoring of care and support services. To facilitate this the post will oversee the management of significant budgetary and staffing resources.This is an opportunity to work in a vibrant and diverse city and to join a dynamic and supportive team with a focus on innovation in service delivery.What We Are Looking For From YouWe ask that you bring outstanding leadership and strong partnership and collaboration skills together with a passion to deliver excellent customer focused services.You will have the experience and skills necessary to lead the Adult Services team, overseeing the work of a range of professional and specialist services.
