The Senior Project Manager will be managing various residential and commercial office construction and fit-out projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
The role involves delivering professional project management services, overseeing daily field activities, managing information flow, and tracking issues related to progress, quality, and safety.
The candidate must be client-facing with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Pre-Contract Responsibilities:
- Develop scope of work, priorities & KPIs
- Schedule and chair key meetings, record minutes
- Agree on planning strategies and ensure design team adherence
- Design and implement reporting structures
- Review design briefs, support communication, verification, and scope control
- Prepare the Project Execution Plan (PEP)
- Define roles and responsibilities for professional and design teams
- Lead design, value engineering, and risk assessments
- Understand H&S obligations in design and construction
- Develop and manage project schedule and procurement strategies
- Manage tendering and contractor selection processes
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk registers
- Understand client insurance requirements
Post-Contract Responsibilities:
- Set up project with clear milestones and reporting structures
- Monitor construction progress against plans
- Manage design, cost, risk, time, safety, and quality
- Develop and nurture client and stakeholder relationships
- Ensure project closure aligns with best practices and client satisfaction
- Oversee quality inspections and address deviations
- Mentor team members and clarify roles
- Communicate professionally with clients and third parties
