Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Finance Analyst to join a large and evolving organisation on a 6-month contract.
This role will play a key part in delivering high-quality financial reporting and insight, ensuring leaders have timely, accurate and meaningful information to support effective decision-making and the delivery of strategic objectives.
Working closely with finance colleagues, regional teams and stakeholders across the wider business, you will provide clear visibility of performance through robust reporting, forecasting and analysis.
Your new role You will support the delivery of reporting, forecasting and planning processes, ensuring high-quality monthly reporting is delivered in a timely and consistent manner.
Alongside delivering reporting and analysis, you will work with a range of stakeholders across the business, providing insight and support to operational teams and helping to drive informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include
- Producing high-quality monthly financial reporting and management information.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and planning activities.
- Analysing financial performance and highlighting key variances.
- Supporting the production of reporting for key management forums.
- Providing additional analysis to support effective decision-making.
- Working closely with finance colleagues and stakeholders across the wider business.
- Supporting month-end reporting processes.
- Building strong relationships with finance and operational stakeholders.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of reporting outputs, source data and analytics capability.
- Contributing towards accurate and reliable financial and operational reporting across the business.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role and will also be able to demonstrate:
- Experience producing high-quality financial reporting and analysis.
- Budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Experience supporting month-end processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Variance analysis and performance reporting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative, adaptable and delivery-focused approach.
- Experience working within a complex finance environment.
