Role: Warehouse General Manager – 3PL Contract Logistics (Multi-User) Company: Leading European 3PL Contract Logistics Provider. Location: Milton Keynes Area (MK14 5AA). Salary & Benefits: £75,000 – £85,000 + Car / Allowance & Package. The Role The Warehouse General Manager – 3PL Contract Logistics (Multi-User) will play a critical role in leading all activity across a key UK DC operation in Milton Keynes, operating within a Multi-User, Open & Closed Book, 250,000+ sq. ft. site. This position is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organisation. Key Responsibilities – Reporting Line: Reporting to the Sector Business Unit Director. – Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, strategy, continuous improvement and projects. – Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing, collective site operational team (up to 200+ employees) through managerial direct reports. – Client Relationships: Build and maintain an already impressive, strong customer relationship base, ensuring ongoing satisfaction. – Commercial Responsibility & Budget Management: Develop and manage the operational site budget in excess of £20m, ensuring financial objectives are achieved while maintaining service & quality. – Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI\’s, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation. – Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practice. – Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. – Innovation: Support the business appetite to drive innovation, Automation & Robotics along with the adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. – Supplier Relationships: Manage UK commercial relationships with customers, suppliers and third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective services. The Candidate The successful candidate for the Warehouse General Manager – 3PL Contract Logistics (Multi-User) opportunity will have the following skills and experiences: – A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background – Essential. – A minimum of 5+ years General Manager / Senior General Manager / Regional General Manager / Head of Operations or even Operations Director experience – Essential. – Proven 3PL Multi-User experience required – Essential. – Previous budgetary responsibility across medium to large sized DC operations in excess of £15m – Essential. – Awareness to Semi-Automation & Robotics – AMR\’s, AGV\’s – Advantageous. – Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams – Essential. – Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics and warehousing market – Essential. – An individual truly excited by large scale growth challenges – Essential. – Commutable to Milton Keynes area 5 x days per week – Essential.
