Employment Associate Solicitor | NQ+ | Swansea | Hybrid working | Competitive salary | this is a rare opportunity for an Employment Associate Solicitor to join a thriving commercial litigation team. The firm offers the successful candidate an attractive salary and bonus scheme.

You will work directly alongside the Employment Director at this firm, playing a key role in developing employment law offering, advising both employers and employees across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants genuine client contact, and is keen to help shape the future growth of an expanding practice.
The position offers flexibility in terms of location, with the successful candidate being able to work from any of the firm's office locations following an initial onboarding period.

The role:

The successful candidate will be working in areas of contentious and advisory employment law such as:

  • Handling employment disputes, tribunal cases, and resolution strategies
  • Advising clients on complex employment contracts, policies, and procedures
  • Supporting businesses through TUPE transfer, restructures, and redundancy programs
  • Offering support to the corporate commercial team
  • Offering strategic HR advice on matters such as dismissals, grievances, and employee relations. The candidate: The role is open to candidates of varying PQE as capability and character are key to this appointment. The firm is looking for some who:
  • Has experience in employment law
  • Has strong technical knowledge and excellent drafting skills
  • Enjoys building client relations and delivering practical, commercial advice
  • Is confident managing their own caseload while working collaboratively within a team
  • Has an interest in business development and helping grow a developing practice area
