Corporate and Commercial Associate Solicitor | 3+ PQE | Cardiff/Swansea | Competitive Salary DOE | Are you a pragmatic and approachable Associate Solicitor looking to join a busy and well-regarded Corporate and Commercial team? A legal firm in the South of Wales is seeking an Associate Solicitor. With a competitive salary and bonus scheme, this could be the role for you The role:
The successful candidate will manage a broad range of both corporate and commercial work, including corporate transactions, commercial contracts, shareholders, and partnership arrangements, and debt/equity funding. You will be responsible for your own caseload, and you must be able to show experience of dealing with corporate and commercial work. The nature of the role will suit a candidate with a confident personality and someone who is comfortable with direct client contact. Working alongside experienced specialists, you will be expected to:

  • Effectively manage a caseload involving a range of corporate and commercial work
  • Work collaboratively with a team of solicitors and legal assistants in order to achieve an excellent and effective client service
  • Build strong relationships with clients and professional contacts including business development and networking activities
  • Act as an integral part of the team and contribute to continued growth and success About you: The firm is looking for candidates who have at least 3 years of experience and:
  • Have experience in corporate and commercial work gained through training contracts, previous roles or work placements.
  • Possess strong communication and client care skills
  • Are organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and excellent drafting abilities
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills
  • An eye for accurate and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varying workload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish good working relations with clients, external professionals, and colleagues
  • The ability to work at a highly professional level
  • A commitment to team goals and personal development
