Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient and passionate educator that enjoys working with children with complex needs, to work in our outdoor Forest School provision at Birley Moor Garden Centre, Sheffield.
the right candidate will have a Level 3 qualification or above in Education, and experience working with SEN children.
Knowledge and understanding of Trauma informed practice is appreciated.
The role requires 4 days of work per week, Monday - Thursday 9am- 4pm. This position is term time only, however, there is possibility for extra hours to be acquired during half term holidays.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference to children's lives, and supporting children who are experiencing difficulties accessing mainstream education. The right candidate will help us to plan exciting, fun and stimulating outdoor learning experiences utilising the Forest School Approach for children aged 5-16 years of age.
The right candidate will be able to successfully assess and observe learning, planning in the moment and supporting the extension of learning core life skills, emotional intelligence, resilience and self confidence.
We are a small, passionate team, who work closely together, reflecting regularly on our practice, building on it with regular CPD and always finding new ways to support the children in our care.
The Nature Box Forest School is also a Training provider. A Level 3 Forest School Leader Qualification is offered to all staff once they have joined us, if this has not already been acquired.
