Job Description Package Description: ESMS are currently recruiting for a Plumber to join the Estates and Facilities Department on a full time basis from August 2025 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 7am to 3:30pm, and Friday 7am to 2:30pm with 30 minutes unpaid each day for lunch, a paid working week of 39 hours. The Plumber will be placed on the ESMS Support Staff Salary Scales and the salary range is £31,440 to £34,435 per annum. Remuneration is dependant on skills and experience. The purpose of this role is to be a subject matter expert for all plumbing services and carry out routine, emergency monitoring and preventative maintenance of water services and drainage systems. Key duties will include dealing with planned and reactive maintenance issues with plumbing and on-site pipe systems and responding to all planned, unplanned and emergency requests. They will also be responsible for any new project work installations and undertake testing and fault finding in plant rooms. The successful candidate will have successfully completed a registered apprenticeship in plumbing installation works and is recognised as a graded plumber by SNIPEF or other recognised body. They will also have strong communication skills, the ability to work alongside other trades and possess good analytical ad diagnostic skills to read and interpret technical drawings and rectify faults.
