Job Description We are recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Senior Lettings Negotiator to join a growing property team based in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE6).
Training and career development towards a Lettings Valuer or Lettings Manager position will be available.
The Role
As a Senior Lettings Negotiator, you will play a key role in generating new landlord business, marketing residential properties and managing the lettings process from initial enquiry through to successful tenancy.
You will work closely with landlords, tenants and the wider property team, providing a professional and customer-focused service while working towards individual and team targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new landlord and property instructions through proactive business development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and property owners
- Conduct rental market appraisals and assist with residential property valuations
- Advise landlords on rental values, market conditions and lettings strategy
- Market residential properties and generate enquiries from prospective tenants
- Arrange and conduct property viewings
- Qualify applicants and negotiate offers between landlords and tenants
- Manage the lettings process from instruction through to tenancy
- Prepare and progress tenancy agreements and related documentation
- Oversee referencing, compliance checks and tenancy administration
- Maintain excellent landlord and tenant relationships throughout the lettings process
- Follow up new leads and maximise opportunities to win additional business
- Identify opportunities to increase the company's landlord portfolio
- Work towards and exceed individual and team sales and lettings targets
- Support the wider property team with day-to-day estate agency and lettings activities
About You
We are looking for a confident, professional and commercially minded property professional with previous experience in estate agency, residential lettings or property management.
You may currently be working as a Senior Lettings Negotiator, Lettings Negotiator or Lettings Valuer and be looking for an opportunity to progress your career.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within residential lettings, estate agency or property management
- Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills
- Experience dealing with landlords, tenants and property owners
- A proactive approach to generating new business and following up leads
- Good knowledge of the residential property market
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A target-driven and commercially focused approach
- A professional and positive attitude
- The ambition to develop a long-term career within the property industry
Salary and Benefits
- £26,000 basic salary
- Realistic OTE of £36,000 per annum
- Uncapped commission
- Training towards Lettings Valuer / Lettings Manager
- Established territory covering Newcastle and Durham
