Medical Receptionist – Basingstoke| £12.25–£15.00/hr | Immediate Start Are you an organised, patient-focused professional looking to make a real impact in a busy GP practice? We’re currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a friendly and supportive team in Basingstoke, with an immediate start available on a Part time or Full time basis. They are ideally looking for a permanent role, but would consider Locum for the right person. 💼 The Role: As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the practice. You will have the opportunity work in a well run organised team where you will also have the opportunity to progress and upskill if so desired. Key Responsibilities: – Welcoming patients in person and over the phone – Booking, amending, and managing appointments – Processing prescriptions and managing patient queries – Handling patient records using clinical systems (EMIS or SystmOne experience desirable) – Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties ✅ What We’re Looking For: – Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare setting – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Confident IT user, with strong attention to detail – Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment – Knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne (preferred but not essential) 💷 Pay & Hours: – Hourly rate: £12.25–£15.00 (dependent on experience) – Working days: Locum/Part – Time – Start date: Immediate This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming, patient-centred practice where your contribution will be truly valued.
