We are looking for an experienced, inspiring Nursery Manager to lead our Golders Green setting. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can thrive and develop essential skills. Your leadership will inspire a team of passionate childcare professionals, ensuring high-quality care and education that meet regulatory standards and exceed expectations. About Andi's Nursery: Andi's Nursery is a family-run business with two settings in Golders Green. For over 8 years, we have delivered outstanding care and education in North London.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of childcare staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and childcare regulations.
  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that support early childhood development milestones.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and external agencies to promote transparency and trust.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, record keeping, and budgeting to ensure smooth nursery functioning.
  • Conduct regular staff training sessions to uphold high standards of childcare practice and professional development.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times, promoting a secure space for children to learn and play.

Qualifications:

  • Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team of childcare professionals.
  • Extensive experience working directly with children in a childcare or nursery environment.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, capable of building positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
  • Valid childcare qualifications or certifications as required by local regulations.
  • Valid driving license preferred for transporting children or attending off-site activities when necessary.

Experience:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted and Safeguarding.
  • Experience in parent relationships.
  • Skilled in staff supervision, development and performance management.
