Job Description Head of Financial Planning & Reporting

We are delighted to be supporting a leading organisation in Liverpool with the appointment of a Head of Financial Planning & Reporting.
This is a key senior finance role for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who can combine strong technical expertise with strategic commercial insight.
Working as part of the Finance Leadership Team, you will lead the organisation's financial planning and analysis activity, providing high-quality financial insight to senior stakeholders and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading annual budgets, long-term financial plans and rolling forecasts. Developing financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions. Providing insightful financial analysis, identifying trends, risks and opportunities. Reviewing business cases and providing financial recommendations. Working closely with senior leaders and budget holders across the organisation. Leading finance projects, change and business transformation initiatives. Supporting the wider Finance Strategy and deputising for the senior finance lead when required. Leading and developing a high-performing finance team. We are looking for an experienced qualified accountant with a strong background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, together with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
