Job Description Head of Financial Operations

Liverpool - 12 month contract

Salary – 70 to 80k

We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Financial Operations to join a senior Finance Leadership Team within a complex and growing organisation based in Liverpool.

This is a key leadership position with responsibility for financial accounting, statutory reporting, financial controls, compliance, taxation, treasury and investment management across the organisation and its subsidiaries.

You will act as a strategic finance partner to the senior leadership team, providing commercial financial advice and supporting business growth, transformation and change. The role will also involve deputising for the Executive Director for Group Finance when required.

Key responsibilities

Lead the financial accounting and statutory reporting function. Oversee financial control, compliance, taxation and treasury. Provide strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders. Support business planning, growth and organisational transformation. Lead and develop financial operations and continuous improvement. Work closely with Audit and Finance/Investment Committees. Deputise for the Executive Director for Group Finance as required. About you

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience and a strong background in financial accounting and senior finance leadership.

You will bring excellent technical accounting, commercial and leadership skills, together with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively within a complex organisation.
