Bilfinger UK are currently recruiting for Production Technicians on a Fixed Term contract, on a 2/3 rota mobilising from Aberdeen As a Production Technician, your activities will include the following: – Monitor and operate all equipment assigned to technician as competent production technician, including routine watch-keeping and monitoring of plant conditions – Operate plant within standard plant operating procedures and identify opportunities for improving SOP\’s to ensure standard working practices across all shifts within Management of Change procedure – Ensure that all critical drawings and registers are kept up to date and reflect the current plant operating status – As Area Authority, countersign and authorise all permits for designated areas of responsibility. – In conjunction with Performing Authority, prepare and apply equipment and system isolations within scheduling plan of operations – Understand specific risks when isolating or breaching integrity of offshore production equipment, eg stored energy, asbestos, LSA, Benzyne, etc – Detect, identify and react to abnormal conditions that may develop into emergency situations. – Monitor and maintain high standard of housekeeping in areas of responsibility and platform in general. – Identify variances in production plant performance from desired condition and effectively address each situation and/or bring to attention of supervisor. – Properly document and accurately report all operational readings, adjustments, and inspections. – Train and mentor production trainees and apprentices. – Ensure detailed and comprehensive written and verbal shift handovers are conducted at the end of each shift and at crew change. – Assists in the management of any emergency situation, in accordance with installation Emergency Response Procedures and is a full member of the Emergency Response team. – Actively participates in TAR planning meetings, HAZOP/HAZID\’s, Root Cause Analysis, Incident Investigations, etc – Provides technical input and knowledge to plans and preparation for major projects, including TAR/Shutdowns, upgrades, etc – Have the required competencies to assemble, install, carry out preventative maintenance, repair, diagnose faults within bounds of technical core discipline – Understand the preparation and reinstatement requirements in respect of the work area, materials and equipment, and the possible consequences of incorrect actions in these areas. – Be able to read and interpret P&ID\’s and other critical drawings to identify isolation schemes and plant operating principles Key Skills / Qualifications / Competencies: – – Good understanding of practical and theoretical principles of offshore production operations – Working knowledge of Permit to Work system. – Previous experience and willing to undertake Area/Performing Authority and Isolating Authority duties – Previous experience or working knowledge in use of Maximo – Good communication skills. – Self-motivated and enthusiastic when working as part of a team or equally as well on own initiative. – Mandatory Offshore Qualifications, eg BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc – Petroleum Open Learning (or similar) – NVQ II / III in Processing Hydrocarbons (or similar) – Emergency Response Team If you wish to speak to a member of the recruitment team, please contact 01224 246246. laura.gibb@bilfinger.com Bilfinger UK Limited Operations Temporary Professional Bilfinger Operations
