Job Description Payroll Manager
Townends is a long established Yorkshire firm that specialises in providing everything that the owner managed business needs. We have a full range of services aimed at such businesses, including Wealth Management.
We have an opportunity for a Manager to join our Payroll Bureau based in Goole.
You will be managing the Payroll team and delivering an exceptional payroll service. You will process multiple payrolls with all associated payroll operations, dealing with billing and chasing debt and liaising directly with clients. You will ensure that you resolve queries and provide general support.
What you need to bring to us;
- Experience in a similar role with a working knowledge of managing a multi payroll function
- Previous experience in Payrite Software would be helpful but not essential as training will be given
- Up to date knowledge of all latest payroll legislation and tax obligations
- Knowledge/experience of PBIK ( BENEFIT IN KIND)
- Sound experience of all payroll procedures including computerised payroll systems, manual calculations, directors' NI, statutory payments, BACS submissions, CIS, pensions (including AE) and year end procedures
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Supervise staff and review their work
- Excellent professional communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Good Organisational
