About Us

TAD Electronics is an engineering company designing and manufacturing a range of products in the UK. Founded in 2005, it is owned and run by engineers who focus on excellence and developing high-quality products across a range of sectors. We are an all-in-one solution, combining a proven approach to solving design and manufacturing challenges with a genuine understanding of customer specific needs. We don’t make assumptions; instead, we focus on clear communication and collaboration.

We have grown to offer product design and manufacture, from a singular circuit board to a completely bespoke turnkey product with a custom-designed enclosure. We also boast an in-house app and web development team, seamlessly enabling our electronics to keep up with the growth of internet-connected devices. One of our niches is ultra-low power circuit design with many of our products lasting between 5 and 10 years on a single battery.

About You

We are looking to recruit an ambitious, versatile engineer to work on new product development as well as improvements to our existing products. This engineer should have a good knowledge of circuit design both analogue and digital at a schematic and board level, as well as a good working knowledge of C. Ideally they would also be at home using 3D packages to design injection moulded plastic or folded metal enclosures. While not necessary this would prove exceptionally useful. Most importantly they should be keen to learn, collaborate and share their skills whilst broadening their engineering knowledge.

The successful candidate must be an adaptable, enthusiastic individual with preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience working for a similar kind of electronics company; however those without 3 years of experience that show the right aptitude and interest will also be considered. Please be aware that this is predominantly an office based job, with occasional remote working.

Required skills / Experience

  • Good knowledge of C programming language
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and their benefits and limitations
  • Knowledge of both digital and analogue electronics
  • Knowledge of circuit design and layout

Desirable skills / Experience

  • Auto-enrolment pension with enhanced employer's contribution
  • 28 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays
  • Employee referral reward scheme
  • Health insurance
  • Enhanced Maternity/Paternity pay
  • Octopus Salary Sacrifice Electric Vehicle scheme
  • Mix of office and remote working
  • Friendly working environment
  • Regular company-funded social events

Salary range £30,000-45,000k experience dependant, 37.5 hours pw.
