Job Description Location: Nottingham (covering properties across the local area)
Job Type: Self-employed / Subcontractor
Rate: Β£200 per day (competitive, based on experience)
Hours: Full-time, guaranteed regular work
About Us
Nik Dhimal Real Estate is a growing letting agency managing residential properties across Nottingham and the wider East Midlands. We're looking for a reliable, skilled handyman to join our maintenance network on a self-employed basis.
The Role
We need a practical, dependable handyman to carry out general maintenance and repair work across our managed properties in Nottingham. This is steady, ongoing work β€” not one-off jobs β€” with a guaranteed volume of days each week.
Typical work includes:

  • General repairs (doors, locks, fixtures, fittings)
  • Painting and decorating
  • Basic plumbing and electrical fixes
  • Flat/void turnaround work between tenancies
  • Flexible response to reactive maintenance callouts

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in general property maintenance or a trade background
  • Own basic hand tools
  • Valid UTR number and public liability insurance (self-employed status)
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Reliable, well-presented, and comfortable working independently
  • Good communication β€” you'll be dealing directly with tenants at times

What We Offer

  • Competitive day rate of Β£200 per day
  • Guaranteed regular days each week β€” steady income, not ad hoc jobs
  • Mileage covered for travel between properties
  • Materials reimbursed or trade account provided
  • First refusal on larger refurb and void turnaround jobs
  • Long-term working relationship with a growing local property portfolio
