Job Description Job Description Summary Job Description Roles Summary/Purpose: Reporting to the gate 2 production cell leader in the component repair blending area. The ability to blend defects from precision aircraft engine components for engine overhaul, assembly, and test. Work unsupervised while maintaining a safe working environment and producing high quality components. Responsibilities – Utilise equipment and tools to perform various tasks including hand and power blending of engine components. – Etching reworked areas of engine components. – Vibratory cleaning of engine components. – Use of measuring equipment and be able to inspect engine components. – Precise attention to detail and a high level of concentration. – Good manual dexterity. – PC work including working with OEM manuals. – Flexible and willing to move within other Gate 2 semi-skilled processes as required by the business requirements. Qualifications/Requirements: – Experience of blending operations desired. – Ability to work on own or as part as a team – Desired Characteristics: – All duties shall be performed in a safe manner in accordance with GE EH&S policy and procedures. – All staff are expected to follow company Quality procedures and to comply with aero industry standards. – All staff are expected to display a mature and positive attitude. – All staff are expected to carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested by supervisor/management.
