We’re known for our artisan sourdough breads, delicious pastries, and warm, community vibe. We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate baker to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who truly loves working with dough and has strong skills in sourdough baking, pastry preparation, and supporting the wider kitchen team when needed. Key Responsibilities: – Produce a range of sourdough breads from scratch using traditional methods – Prepare a variety of pastries, including laminated (e.g. croissants, danishes) and non-laminated (e.g. buns, tart bases) – Occasionally assist with preparation of fresh salads and sandwiches for service – Maintain consistency, quality, and timing during service – Work with the kitchen team to manage daily production and ensure minimal waste – Contribute to new recipe development and seasonal menu planning – Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment Requirements: – Proven experience working in a professional bakery or similar setting – Strong sourdough skills and understanding of fermentation processes – Confident in handling all stages of bread and pastry preparation – Comfortable supporting kitchen prep when needed (salads, sandwiches, etc.) – Available for very early morning shifts (typically starting from 5-6 AM) – Reliable, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team – Food hygiene knowledge and an eye for detail To Apply:We look forward to hearing from you!
