Reward: £36,500 – £62,000 p.a according to experience (We have a graded reward package to suit new entrants to the renewables industry through to the most experienced Wind Turbine Technicians). Working hours – New Technician (37hrs) to Service Technician Level 3 (40hrs). The awesome extras! 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays Industry Leading Pension & Life Insurance 5% Bonus On-call allowance Overtime x 1.5 Overnight allowance Senior Authorised Person allowance Shared works vehicle for travel to and from site What you\’ll do: – Be a Multi-Skilled Authorised Technician under the EDFR Wind Turbine Safety Rules working on one or more Wind Turbine Variants. – Opportunity to become a High Voltage Single Feed Senior Authorised Person under EDFR E&M Safety Rules. – Undertake Major Component (Gearbox, Generator, Transformer etc) Replacements. – Complex fault finding and repair on Electrical, Hydraulic and Convertor Systems both remotely and at the Wind Turbine. – Complete Scheduled Maintenance to high standards and take pride of the assets that you maintain. – Complete internal & external technical and safety training to develop your skills. – Typically work in a two-person working party within a supportive team environment. Who are you? – Similar experience, preferably having worked as a Wind Turbine Technician. – Physically fit, safety-focused, and love hands-on work. – Capable of working at height (within and outside the turbine) and in exposed and remote locations. – Enthusiastic about green energy. What skills do you need? You\’ll be a skilled engineer with great Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance experience. Preferably having worked on Wind Turbines previously.
