Overview
We are recruiting for a Team Leader for our client at a busy distribution centre in the Arbroath area. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Line/Team Leader to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food manufacturing and eager to lead and develop a team to consistently achieve high standards. As a Line/Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the daily performance of your line and team, ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and food safety standards.
- Salary: £12.83 / £14.32
- Monday till Friday
- Shift 4:30 – 13:00
- 40 hours per week
- Immediate start
- Location: Arbroath
- Duration: Ongoing
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the production line team to deliver daily KPIs
- Manage people and performance while fostering a positive workplace culture
- Ensure accurate completion of all line control and production paperwork
- Organise material flow to the production line
- Assess team skills and identify or address any training needs
- Maintain a safe working environment in line with company policy and legal requirements
- Deliver production plans efficiently and to a high standard
- Monitor product quality, yields, and process performance
- Promote and uphold excellent standards of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Manage difficult situations and conversations effectively and professionally
- Conduct staff briefings, equipment safety checks, and report any hazards
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possessing strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
- Well-organised with good attention to detail
- Having a sound understanding of food production processes
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Positive, proactive, and committed to getting the job done right
- Displaying strong interpersonal skills and able to build effective working relationships across departments
- Having good understanding of health and safety principles
- Keen to learn, develop new skills, and progress within the company
- Previous experience as a Team Leader or in a supervisory role is desirable but not essential
