Overview
We are recruiting for a Shift Supervisor to work with a leading company in Segro Park (CV8 3EE). This is a great opportunity to join a reputable organization with career growth.
Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday 11:00 - 19:00 (flexibility is required)
Pay Rates: £13.21 per hour + overtime
As a Shift Supervisor, you will need to have:
- Organisation skills
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Own transport (essential due to location and shift hours)
- Ability to do repetitive lifting
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus
Role of a Shift Supervisor:
- Supervise and motivate a team of warehouse operatives/parcel sorters, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely
- Accurately manage the clocking in and out of staff using the designated system
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your team and effectively liaise with warehouse management to communicate attendance, performance, address issues, and coordinate operational plans
- This is a hands-on role and you will be required to work during your shift including:
- Loading and unloading of trailers and delivery vehicles
- Sorting parcels, including scanning products using handheld devices
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as pump trucks to move goods and large items across the warehouse floor
- Perform repetitive lifting as required by the volume of parcels and packages
- Cover general warehouse duties as needed to support the team and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
