We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Digital Printer / Print Operator
to join a busy production environment on a permanent night shift.
Direct experience operating a
would be highly desirable; however, this is not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience operating
and a strong understanding of digital printing processes.
The successful candidate will receive full training on the Nozomi high-speed single-pass digital press from experienced operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring a high-speed digital printing press.
- Setting up print jobs and ensuring production requirements are met.
- Monitoring print quality throughout the production process.
- Carrying out colour and quality checks and making adjustments where required.
- Working with RIP software and digital print files.
- Identifying and reporting printing or machine issues.
- Completing routine operator checks and basic machine maintenance.
- Ensuring materials and finished products meet required quality standards.
- Following production schedules and site procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Experience We Are Looking For
Ideally, candidates will have:
- Previous experience working as a Digital Printer, Print Operator or Machine Operator within the printing industry.
- A good understanding of digital printing processes.
- Knowledge of
- RIP software

- colour management and colour matching

- Good attention to detail and strong quality standards.
- Confidence working with technical machinery and production systems.
- Ability to identify and resolve basic print-quality or machine issues.
- Willingness to learn and complete full training on the Nozomi press.
Previous Nozomi experience would be a significant advantage but is not essential.
Shift & Training
The permanent shift for this position will be:
22:00-06:00 - Night Shift
Before moving onto nights, the successful candidate will complete a structured training programme with experienced Digital Print Operators.
Training may take place on:
- Early shifts
- Late shifts
- 08:00-16:00
- 09:00-17:00
The training period will be
a minimum of one month and may extend up to three months
, depending on the candidate's previous experience, skills and progress.
Candidates must therefore be flexible to work different shifts during the initial training period before moving permanently onto nights.
