As the business continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen to join and lead our creative team, championing for best in class UX / UI across all our outputs, supporting our clients as well as our ongoing product roadmap and other business needs. We are looking to recruit a pro-active and driven design leader with at least 5+ years of experience working within digital, preferably with experience leading and mentoring members of a team.
Your role will be working on a number of digital design projects across web and native mobile apps for our clients and prospects. These will include new builds, phased redesigns and stand-alone projects working closely with the creative team, front-end team, back-end team and project managers to ensure that the quality of our output is of the highest quality. An attention to detail and an ability to solve complex UI and UX challenges will be essential along with the ability to present to our clients and prospects.
You will work closely with the sales and commercial team to interpret creative briefs, taking existing brand guidelines and enhancing or interpreting them digitally, to create best in class digital experiences that serve the user and assist in generating ROI and increased fan engagement for the client. You will assist on creative pitches and contribute to the Senior Management team, collaborating on growth strategies to build new and existing business.
You will be required to meet and communicate with clients to showcase your designs, IA, UX and UI approaches and discuss deliverables and project objectives, so confidence in your work and presenting is essential to have an impact on driving success. The role also requires visual and functional QA with feedback to the teams to make sure that the work is of the highest standard possible. You should also bring new ideas to the team with an understanding of the latest thinking and opportunities that digital technology provides.
Requirements:
- Exceptional communication skills showing how you can validate your decisions and take critique in equal measure, as well as providing feedback to junior team members in a constructive and beneficial way.
- Experience in all aspects of digital design including Information architecture, user experience, user interaction, journey mapping and application design for mobile as well as web.
- A solid understanding of design fundamentals; knowing your widow from your orphan as well as setting type in a way that makes it easy to read on any medium.
- Good knowledge and proven ability of industry tools, from Sketch or in Figma, XD or inVision.
- Understanding how to prototype and construct wireframes or process flows to help direct projects and complex UX scenarios.
- Enthusiastic and motivated with a positive can-do attitude.
- A strong portfolio showcasing problem solving and beautiful, well-crafted UI.
