Amazon Web Services India Private Limited (AWS India) is seeking a Tax Manager, based in Delhi NCR, to focus primarily on India taxes. AWS offers a comprehensive set of infrastructure and application services to run all aspects of a business in the Cloud. The Tax Manager will collaborate closely with AWS business teams and other Tax team members to support current and future AWS service offerings, expansion plans, restructurings, audits, and day-to-day queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with business teams to understand their goals and provide tax advice.
  • Research India tax issues, primarily related to direct tax.
  • Prepare detailed written tax guidance.
  • Review, analyze, and advise on state tax law changes affecting AWS.
  • Understand billing and reporting systems to recommend necessary changes due to evolving tax laws and business operations.
  • Assist in developing and evaluating planning opportunities.
  • Facilitate tax department projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of India tax experience, with an emphasis on direct tax, gained through a public accounting firm, law firm, or large corporation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field for 4+ years.
  • Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
