We’re looking for a passionate and technically sharp Structural Engineer to join our talented Birmingham team and make a real impact.
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll be a key part of our delivery team, contributing to the design and analysis of complex structures, while developing your technical and project management skills. You’ll:
- Deliver high-quality engineering solutions and support project delivery across major UK and international assignments
- Work on the design, analysis and checking of structures across sectors — from bridges and tunnels to retaining walls and marine works
- Undertake calculations, use a variety of design software and apply international design codes and standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and clients
- Contribute to managing time, budgets, and project resources efficiently
- Adopt the standardisation and peer review of technical work to uphold design excellence
- Make positive contributions to health and safety on projects and across your work priorities health, safety and wellbeing, by reducing and managing associated risk
We want someone who combines technical ability with curiosity, creativity, and a team-first mindset. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- A degree in civil or structural engineering (postgrad qualifications welcome)
- A proactive approach to become a Chartered Engineer (ICE, IStructE)
- Experience designing complex structures (foundations, bridges, marine structures, etc.) using steel, concrete, or composite materials
- A good understanding of structural analysis, construction methods, and advanced numerical modelling
- Familiarity with Eurocodes and international design standards
- Proficiency in finite element analysis software such as LUSAS, Midas
- A collaborative approach with excellent communication and writing skills
