We are recruiting a Digital Software Lead for a major energy trader (£200bn T/O). The role is focused on the Digital / Automation space and sits within the Quant Engineering Group. The brief is to develop new and innovative solutions using the latest technologies (e.g. Automation, Low Code, AI) for the Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations teams.
The Role:
- Leading digital / automation initiatives as a part of the Quant Engineering Team
- Contributing as a Software Engineer (hands-on) as well as a leader
- Leading a team of 10+ Software Engineers
- Identifying 'use cases' and developing POC's
- Leading stakeholder relationships with internal teams (trading, finance, operations)
Requirements:
- Fluency in Python
- High level of ability in also C++, Java, C# (as well as Python)
- BSc / MSc / PhD in Computer Science
- A background in a top hedge fund / investment bank / BigTech
- Previous experience in AI initiatives
