Overview
We’re looking for a bold, strategic, and culturally plugged-in Head of Social to lead OhChat’s social media presence as we scale globally. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior social media leader with deep B2C experience to own and shape our social vision across platforms, channels, and communities.
You’ll play a pivotal role in defining and executing our social strategy, driving growth, engaging fans, and amplifying our celebrity creators and AI-powered platform in a way that cuts through the noise. Purpose of the Role
This is a Head of position responsible for owning and driving OhChat’s entire social media strategy, execution, and performance. You’ll define our voice, grow our communities, and ensure our platform and creators are shaping and leading online conversations. You’ll work closely with the CMO, content and product teams to build OhChat into one of the most recognisable and talked-about brands in the consumer AI space.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end social media strategy for OhChat across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and emerging platforms - driving audience growth, engagement, and brand visibility.
- Define the content calendar, voice, and creative direction of our social output - ensuring all posts feel culturally sharp, on-brand, and impactful.
- Lead social execution, from campaign concepts to reactive content, ensuring consistent quality and community engagement across all touchpoints.
- Collaborate with product, creator experience, and design to surface platform updates, feature launches, and creator content in exciting ways.
- Develop and run standout social campaigns, activations, and collaborations with creators and partners.
- Oversee reporting and analytics, using insights to continuously optimise performance and share learnings with senior stakeholders.
- Manage and grow an internal social team as needed.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, creator economy shifts, and meme cycles ensuring OhChat is both reactive and proactive in shaping cultural relevance.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 8 years' experience in social media, ideally with 2+ years at a senior or lead level.
- Proven success building and scaling B2C social channels ideally within consumer tech, entertainment, media, or the creator economy.
- Deep expertise across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X, with a pulse on internet culture, platform trends, and creator behaviour.
- Sharp creative instincts and exceptional copywriting skills, able to move fast, entertain, and engage.
- Strong track record in developing and executing social campaigns that drive growth and brand impact.
- Experience with paid social strategy and working alongside performance marketing teams.
- Comfortable working with data to guide decisions, test ideas, and optimise performance.
- Bonus: Graphic design and/or video editing skills to support reactive content creation.
- Highly autonomous, self-motivated, and excited to take ownership in a high-growth startup environment.
