We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join us following a restructuring of our team. You will need to demonstrate that you can partner with business managers and leaders to understand their business objectives and provide relevant strategic HR inputs. Reporting to a Head of HR Business Partnering, you will work closely with the HR Shared Services team to attract, develop, and retain top talent within the businesses you support and to support the entire life cycle of the employee experience. To be successful, you must be able to develop meaningful relationships with all managers in your businesses, and other people teams in the organisation. Skills in relationship building and influencing are essential. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing expertise in all areas of HR management.
This is a full-time role covering multiple sites across the UK and will be based at our London site (5 minutes from Waterloo station) with regular travel (up to twice a week) across the UK. The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible with their working arrangements.
About the Role
Key Accountabilities:- Employee Relations will be a key aspect of your role and you will be the first line contact for your managers and stakeholders, providing guidance on conflict resolution whilst promoting a positive work environment and escalating cases as necessary.
- You will take the time to understand business needs and strategy whilst being able to communicate and deliver HR policies, processes and initiatives.
- You will be proactive, building mutually respectful relationships with stakeholders, whilst demonstrating excellent influencing skills.
- You will stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, translating them into actionable strategies and initiatives to drive organisational success.
- You will promote, support and deliver the ongoing regular HR activities e.g. workforce planning, salary reviews, performance excellence, well-being and engagement, taking the time to apply and safeguard our people processes.
- Identify training needs through regular meetings with functional directors and requests provided in annual performance reviews.
- Participate in the delivery of HR training alongside the UK HR Team.
- Coach managers in their development of people management skills.
- Management of overseas immigration and sponsorship licence process.
- Support the Head of HR Business Partnering with annual remuneration policy and practices.
- Generate regular reports utilising HR data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
What do we need from you
Skills & Expertise:- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into HR solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification is a plus. Minimum of CIPD level 5, ideally level 7.
- Demonstrable progressive HR experience with a focus on business partnership.
- Experience of working in a matrix environment.
- Excellent understanding of Employment Law to support Employee Relations activity.
- Digital acumen and the ability to analyse Management Information and use for practical outputs.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from around the business.
- You will be able to manage multiple tasks at once and also able to demonstrate that you work well both as part of a team and independently.
- It is essential that you can manage expectations amongst internal clients whilst driving the application of HR policies and processes.
- Experience of working within organisations having had responsibility for multiple locations.
- Generalist HR experience, solid exposure to Employee Relations, and excellent employment law knowledge.
- Ability to use HR data, metrics, and evidence to inform and drive decision making and change across your business areas.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Oracle and Power BI experience desirable but not essential.
- Pro-active, independent and uses initiative.
- Thoughtful, intelligent and analytical.
- Confident with highly developed inter-personal skills with the ability to be assertive and take the lead where necessary.
- Able to plan and prioritise effectively whilst remaining flexible enough to fulfil the requirements of the project or activity.
- Able to maintain high standards of output, with a high attention to detail, in a pressurised working environment.
