We have an exciting opportunity within a prestigious accountancy practice for a Senior Audit Manager, dealing with Not For Profit clients, based near Regents Park, London. This role offers hybrid working with 2 days in the office per week.
The Role
The Not-For-Profit (NFP) Department is a subdivision of the firm’s Audit Department, serving clients such as charities, trade unions, and universities.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, supervising, and reviewing audit work
- Reviewing statutory accounts in line with Charities SORP, the Higher Education SORP, and FRS102
- Supervising junior staff and providing technical guidance and professional development, including appraisals
- Managing billing processes
- Handling staff-related administrative duties
- Providing ad hoc business consultancy
- Supporting new business generation
- Assisting with staff recruitment for the audit department
- Performing other duties as required
Person Specification
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Proven audit experience within the NFP sector
- Experience with Higher Education, Charities, and Trade Union audits
- Knowledge of Charities SORP, Higher Education SORP, and FRS102
- Strong technical skills and audit quality
- Leadership and supervisory abilities
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Additional knowledge of software such as PROaudit, Alphatax, Excel, Word, Outlook, Inflo, and Data Snipper is desirable, with training provided.
