A Production Coordinator is currently required to work for a leading promotional merchandise company in Kentish Town, London. Working within a busy in-house Production Department, you will:

  • Coordinate and administrate the manufacture and delivery of our Far East and UK supplied bespoke designed and pre-manufactured promotional products.
  • Provide holiday cover in our Warehouse and Despatch services and help manage the despatch workload during peak periods.

The team currently comprises a Production Manager, an Assistant Manager and a Warehouse/Despatch Administrator.

The Production Coordinator role responsibilities include:

  • Processing orders for Far East and UK sourced promotional merchandise products and following it through until delivery is met in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the logistic side, making sure the goods are moving correctly and as agreed with third parties, sales coordinators and despatch department.
  • Take ownership of the whole supply chain process from ordering the goods until delivery to the clients following specific steps.
  • Ensuring that the production of the goods matches the client expectations in terms of quality and quantity and making sure that the production is achieved on deadlines given while working closely with international suppliers.
  • Booking deliveries with client’s warehouses and fulfilment houses to meet client deadlines and giving packing and delivery instructions to third party logistics partners.
  • Maintaining and accurate updating of purchasing data on the internal Promotional Office bespoke system.
  • Making sure suppliers are using correct commodity codes, commercial invoice and packing list for exporting their goods to the UK.
  • Checking deliveries of incoming client orders.
  • Prioritising workload.
  • Ensuring all documents relating to each order are properly completed and recorded on to the company Promotional Office system.
  • Providing updated information notes on to Promotional Office to ensure account managers and sales coordinators have up to date information detailing the exact stage of each order.
  • Providing holiday cover for the Warehouse/Despatch Administrator and assisting in despatch of items during busy periods.

Experience (preferred):

  • Working in a busy, customer focussed environment.
  • Working with overseas, Far East or UK merchandise manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Working in a customer focussed environment.
  • Working with logistic, haulage and despatch contractors (not essential).
  • Using a sales database or CRM system.
