The predicted salary is between 15 - 15 £ per hour.

We are recruiting for Class 1 LGV Truck drivers based at Grangemouth.

Hourly Rate Overview:

  • £15.00 per hour (for first 9hrs each day)
  • £18.00 OT Rate (effective daily once basic 9hrs & break achieved)
  • £26.20 overnight allowance
  • Saturday - £18.00 per hour
  • Sunday - £19.70 per hour

The job will involve mainly container transport but can also include general haulage, curtain siders, flatbed and other. We operate mainly in the Central Belt of Scotland but also cover UK wide work based on the needs of our customers. We expect our drivers to be flexible to suit the needs of the business.

We operate a 1 vehicle 1 driver policy where possible. Health and Safety is a key part of our culture and that of our customers, we need this reflected in any potential applicant.

Our vehicles are fitted with in cab devices to carry out vehicle checks and to send & receive job information, training will be provided. We have various shift patterns available for this position and these can be discussed at interview:

  • Mon - Fri - Start Times ranging from 5am - 7.30am (Flexible on discussion)

There is the potential for overtime and weekend working where available. Shift finish times will be based around drivers hours and also business needs.

The position requires:

  • Good understanding of drivers hours regulations
  • Excellent team work skills to ensure the transport operation runs smoothly
  • HGV Class 1, Driver CPC, Digital Tacho card
  • 1 Years minimum HGV experience
  • 25 Years or over

Company training will be provided on start. In return we offer a competitive salary, pension and company uniform.

  • Short Interview to explain your employment history
  • Driving Assessment with coupling/uncoupling procedure

If you are successful and offered a job: There will be an onsite induction process followed by 1 to 2 weeks in cab/road training with a driver trainer.
