Are you a skilled Network Support Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge networking technologies and contribute to the stability and security of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues with strong problem-solving skills.
- Provide support for VLANs, static routing, and dynamic routing protocols including OSPF and EIGRP.
- Configure and maintain Spanning-tree Protocol to ensure network reliability.
- Set up and manage site-to-site VPN configurations for secure communication.
- Implement and maintain Access Control List (ACL) rules to enhance network security.
- Administer and optimise DHCP and DNS services for efficient network operations.
- Work with SD-WAN solutions to improve network performance and security.
- Manage firewall solutions, with experience in Meraki and SonicWall being advantageous.
- Support switch infrastructure, with experience in Meraki, HP Aruba, and Zyxel being beneficial.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in network infrastructure engineering.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and configurations.
- Hands-on experience with VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP), and Spanning-tree Protocol.
- Knowledge of firewall and network security best practices.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions and site-to-site VPN setup.
- Experience with firewall vendors (Meraki/SonicWall preferred) and switch vendors (Meraki, HP Aruba, Zyxel advantageous).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
