Cisco Network Engineer Stockton-on-Tees (Hybrid-working – x2 days onsite + x3 days WFH)

The Opportunity: Our client specialises in providing integrated infrastructure solutions and following a sustained period of growth are currently looking to attract a Network Engineer to join their expanding and progressive ICT Department. You will be joining a dynamic team of professionals who offer operations management, engineering services and energy management solutions to companies in high-hazard industries such as Oil and Gas or the Energy and Chemical sectors.

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Cisco networking, including hands-on work with Cisco, Meraki, Check Point, Azure Cloud, and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Experience with Mitel/Voice platforms and/or SIP transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of secure network configuration, including best practices for VLANs, QoS, scripting and maintenance, as well as 802.1X and other network security protocols.
  • Proven experience in the physical design and installation of Local Area Networks (LANs).
  • Skilled in the management and support of Wide Area Networks (WANs).
  • Ideally degree qualified or with relevant industry experience and/or certifications (e.g. CCNA/CCNP).
