If so, our client, an innovative tech for good start-up, is actively hiring for a position based in Cambridge to support operations across their UK and EU functions.
The Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Cambridge, UK, will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing robotic components including precision mechanisms and enclosures
- Creating complex parts and assemblies using SolidWorks with a focus on plastic injection moulding, sheet metal, and CNC machining
- Performing FEA and thermal analysis to validate mechanical designs
- Collaborating with electronics, software, and research teams in an Agile environment
- Supporting testing, debugging, and DFM for scalable production
To apply for this Mechanical Design Engineer role, you should have:
- A degree or master’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience of hands-on mechanical design experience
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, including generating manufacturing drawings
