*PADSTOW HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS**JOB VACANCY**MARINE ENGINEER / DECKHAND*The Padstow Harbour Commissioners are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable, friendly and punctual marine engineer / deckhand to work aboard our Sandsnipe dredger here at Padstow.Duties will include working on the Dredger, playing an active role in maintaining systems on marine vessels, plant vehicles and equipment as well as deck operations whilst at sea and shore maintenance when in port.The successful applicant will need to be flexible in their approach to both the duties involved and the hours of work required.*JOB ROLE** Maintaining systems and equipment on Vessels and Plant Machinery.* Design, construction and repairs where needed.* Operating / maintaining various machinery / plant.* Securing Mooring Lines.* Banks person.* Tidal shift and occasional weekend work.*REQUIREMENTS*Marine experience and a marine engineering background are essential and any marine qualifications will be beneficial, including STCW certificates in Sea Survival, First Aid, Fire Fighting and an ML5/ENG 1 medical document.
