Here at Nexus Claims Management Services Ltd, we are looking for a Junior Claims Adjuster to join our Aviation team and work closely with the Claims Manager, Head of Claims and wider Claims Team, providing a best in class claims service to our underwriting carrier partners, policyholders and brokers.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively handle and process Aviation (hull and liability) claims in a timely and efficient manner from first notification to settlement/closure. This includes correctly assessing policy coverage as well as legal liability/quantum, plus effective diary and system/file management (and accurate data entry/claims notes), claims peer review, attending underwriting meetings and other ad hoc claims tasks.
- Assist in the handling and processing of Marine classes under the guidance of a Senior Adjuster.
- Reporting large losses and broking/referring claims to our capacity providers, which fall outside of Nexus claims handling authority.
- Daily triaging of emails for Claims inboxes.
- Assist with the productions and reconciliation of Bordereaux.
- Ensure Nexus Claims acts as an effective TPA following at all times applicable claims standards and adherence to contractual delegated authorities & service level agreements.
- Internal collaboration with underwriters and other claims adjusters, processing technicians and claims finance/operations/MI staff for the purposes of claims related activity, payments and relevant MI, plus carriers and external service providers, to ensure a quality and value for money service is provided/received within required timeframes.
- Identify and escalate claims related issues where necessary.
- Ensure that Nexus Brand and code of conduct is adhered to at all times both within the workplace or at other external events.
Experience:
- 3 yearsβ experience working in the London insurance market on Lead / CAP accounts.
- Existing knowledge of the insurance claims market/process.
- IT literate with knowledge of ECF and Microsoft products.
- Cert CII with commitment to complete Dip CII or equivalent (and interest in such qualifications).
