The Opportunity:
Finatal is working with a sought-after global asset manager looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Private Equity Funds investment team. This is a full lifecycle investment role with fantastic exposure across a top-tier business.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and build the businesses network and relationships with PE managers: participate in update meetings with existing and potential new PE fund manager relationships, and attend Annual General Meetings;
- Contribute to Due Diligence processes, including analysis of the strategy and track-record of Private Equity funds, detailed re-underwriting of portfolio companies, in-person due diligence meetings, reference calls, and legal negotiations;
- Produce investment memorandums and present recommendations to the businesses Investment Committee and client base;
- Get involved in the origination and initial evaluation of secondary and co-investment opportunities.
Requirements:
- Degree from a top-tier university and an excellent academic track-record;
- 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience, ideally from a similar position in Alternative Asset Management / Private Equity Fund of Funds / Placement Agent. Prior experience in Investment Banking / Management Consulting is also valuable;
- Excellent analytical and financial skills; including financial modeling;
- Self-starter personality with ability to work well in a multi-cultural team;
- Excellent organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact confidently and professionally with colleagues and senior industry professionals.
