The role involves defining IT strategies, analysing current-state environments, and crafting innovative, future-ready solutions that align with business goals. Consultants in this position work at the forefront of enterprise IT transformation, engaging with clients to guide strategic decisions across cloud, virtualisation, containerisation, and other emerging technologies. The role also involves managing stakeholders, leading project delivery, and mentoring junior consultants.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse complex IT environments and define technology roadmaps and IT operating models.
- Develop and deliver IT strategies that encompass people, process, and technology transformation.
- Lead workshops, stakeholder interviews, and technical assessments to gather and prioritise requirements.
- Guide clients through decisions on public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Design and oversee implementation of conceptual solutions in collaboration with technical experts.
- Create business cases, ROI models, and transformation plans to support client decision-making.
- Produce high-quality documentation, including whitepapers, tools, and frameworks for strategic delivery.
- Support methodology refinement and capture lessons learned from each engagement.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT consulting, strategy, or technology modernisation.
- Relevant academic background or certifications in IT, computing, or related fields.
- Practical knowledge of IT operating models and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with virtualisation, containerisation, and networking technologies.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
- Expertise in at least two areas: IT strategy, enterprise architecture, automation, service management, or AI/ML.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, capable of leading workshops and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps practices.
- Certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, COBIT, or CompTIA Security+.
