This is a senior strategic role working with the Pension Schemes Board (PSB). This is an exciting opportunity where the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of innovative product and service propositions, driving growth and differentiation for BW in target markets. This pivotal role will shape the proposition development strategy and identify profitable market opportunities.DescriptionAt Barnett Waddingham we are currently recruiting an experienced Head of Pension Schemes Proposition to join the firm on a permanent basis. This is a senior strategic role working with the Pension Schemes Board (PSB). This is an exciting opportunity where the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of innovative product and service propositions, driving growth and differentiation for BW in target markets. This pivotal role will shape the proposition development strategy and identify profitable market opportunities.This is a full-time opportunity and benefits from hybrid working. This role can be based in any of our 9 offices with regular travel to London and all other BW offices. The successful Head of Pensions Schemes Proposition will be willing to travel on a weekly basis, to foster internal relationships and actively engage with the market, while building external relationships and staying informed on key industry developments.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and understand client needs within target markets, ensuring the development and delivery of new, tailored propositions that effectively meet those needs.Collaborate closely with the existing Head of Business Insights and Head of Sales and Strategic Relationships to align work streams.Develop and articulate key propositions for PSB product and service strategy.Lead cross-functional teams when designing and developing new product propositions.Working closely with internal teams, co-ordinate and shape our responses to regulatory developments linking back to our propositions.Work closely with our Business Insights team and Business Development Consultants to identify opportunities to initiate and leverage market research and competitive analysis, building a deep understanding of client and prospect needs.Provide strategic input as a key stakeholder in Marketing and BD discussions, ensuring alignment with PSB strategy.Serve as the primary point of contact for Marketing and BD on newly developed propositionsWorking with BD, maintain a strong awareness of market pricing to ensure competitiveness and profitability.Working with BD, communicate regularly to PSB on emerging market trends and pricing dynamics.Provide recommendations to PSB regarding optimal pricing levels for propositions and business streams, ensuring alignment with BD.Contribute commercial insights to bid pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with market conditions and business objectives.Collaborate with the BD team to incorporate insights on target market considerations, client and prospect needs, and emerging technology trends throughout the development process.Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners, linking with BW BD and Marketing teams, to facilitate collaboration and drive business growth, leveraging insights to inform proposition development.Experience/QualificationsPrevious experience working alongside technical, marketing, and BD teams is essential.Familiarity with the UK defined benefit pension schemes industry would be advantageous.A background in Financial Services or Professional Services will be highly regarded.What\’s In It For YouCompetitive discretionary annual bonus.Core benefits paid for by BW including life assurance, group income protection, private medical cover and 25 days holiday per year with holiday trading.A generous pension scheme where we contribute 8% of your salary from day one of your employment.Employee Assistance Programme to support you and your family through any concerns or challenges you may experience.A comprehensive range of voluntary benefits to suit your life stage and lifestyle including a tech scheme, cycle to work scheme, dental cover, healthcare cash plan, health assessments, critical illness cover, extension of private medical cover or life assurance to family members, gym membership, travel insurance and a broad range of discounts at hundreds of retailers including supermarkets, fitness centres, travel and leisure companies.AccessibilityWe are a Disability Confident Employer.
