This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and purpose—and is excited to drive impact at scale in a fast-growing, multi-market tech business.
Your mission
As the Head of B2C Marketing, your mission is to accelerate user growth, engagement and retention by designing and executing high-impact and financially sustainable marketing strategies tailored to diverse, hyperlocal markets. You’ll lead a team of passionate marketers and work closely with Commercial, Product, and Brand stakeholders to ensure our efforts are performance-driven and aligned to business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Execute the B2C marketing strategy for the Central Europe + UK/IE region, balancing global direction with local market nuances.
- Develop hyper localised campaigns and initiatives that resonate culturally and regionally, using hyperlocal insights to fuel growth of the marketplace.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of marketing leads and specialists across multiple countries and languages.
- Drive user acquisition, engagement and retention through growth marketing performance channels, CRM, and other hyperlocal marketing levers, using a full-funnel approach.
- Establish and track marketing performance KPIs across channels and markets, using data to continually optimize spend and impact.
- Partner cross-functionally with Global Marketing teams, Country Directors, PR/Comms, B2B/Partner Marketing and Product teams to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with business and user needs.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning loop by feeding local market and local consumer insights into Global Functions.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in growth marketing or performance-driven consumer marketing, ideally in a fast-paced tech or online marketplace environment.
- Proven success scaling consumer acquisition, engagement and retention strategies across multiple countries and languages.
- Strong track record of using data and experimentation to measure and improve marketing performance.
- Experience with hyperlocal marketing strategies—balancing national brand equity with local resonance.
- Expertise with the marketing stack for mobile app based businesses and consumer marketplaces: digital performance channels including video, CRM, paid social, hyperlocal campaigns, SEO/SEM, analytics tools and product-led conversion optimization.
Traits & Abilities:
- Deep commercial acumen—you can think in funnels, unit economics, and trade-offs.
- Ability to lead laterally and drive outcomes in a matrixed business with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- A strong people leader who knows how to develop and empower teams to perform at their best—across cultures, languages, and time zones.
- A strategic thinker who can also roll up your sleeves and execute.
- Passion for sustainability and alignment with our mission to fight food waste.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on inspiring and developing high-performing teams, through both direct and indirect management, especially via test and learn techniques.
- You are fully proficient in English.
