Why this role matters
Finance help deliver our strategy and plans for growth. We shape and steer the direction of the business by managing our people, finances, shared services and buildings. We also oversee our regulatory and compliance obligations too. BT Business is a complex business with multiple channels to market and a broad stakeholder base. You will be the trusted advisor to a Senior leader with a need to lead, challenge, drive insight and add P&L value in order to underpin ambitious Medium-Term Plans.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for the month end process, adherence to deadlines and working together with BT Business centre finance to ensure timely submissions for the PSB/ITS business.
- Responsible for reviewing the ledger controls to ensure accuracy of reporting for both P&L and balance sheet.
- Responsible for balance sheet oversight including running regular reviews and upholding a high level of financial control and discipline.
- Ensure BT Group and IFRS financial accounting policies and processes are followed.
- Lead on finance and system transformation, including supporting the roadmap.
- Key point of contact for audit (external and internal) matters.
- Responsible for building and maintaining strong intra BT Business and inter line of business manager level relationships with colleagues within BT and external customers.
- Partner with senior managers/senior stakeholders within the business and challenge/support where appropriate.

- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience across a wide range of finance disciplines.
- Experience working cross-borders with shared services.
- Experience managing a team is an advantage.
