THE ROLE
As Equipment Integration Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration topics within the Equipment team, setting objectives and driving performance of the teams with regards to design maturity and configuration management as well as offering support and technical direction for complex and cross-cutting topics. You will be in charge of the following activities:
- Act as ambassador for the Equipment team to drive design maturity and stability to challenge technical impacts of open points and design changes.
- Ensure the resolution of various cross-functional technical issues including OP, UKDC and IDT by coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders between building/system/contract.
- Reporting to Control Tower/EMM on the yearly design maturity and stability objectives and escalating topics needing support.
- Lead & manage the OP coordinator network.
- Act as Level 2 Open Point Coordinator, attending coordination meetings and responsible for validating the status in OPM for Level 2 OPs.
- Lead the decision-making on L2 OPs that do not need arbitration in Governance Committees or advise the proper governance for the OP (NIAM, CMB, PHPC, ITB OP Forum, etc).
- Act as Entity Interface Manager, participating in ad-hoc meetings and forums as needed and supporting teams with escalation of blocking points with regards to technical interfaces (IDT).
- Maintenance & reporting of OPEX, OP, PHOP and DC (TDI) progress through KPI production and dashboard preparation.
- Sharing and cascading of good practices regarding integration and configuration management across other ITBx entities.
- Leads & manages the Mods Coordinator network.
- Facilitates the day-to-day implementation of the UKDC process for ITBE, especially when it comes to the challenge of UKDC and assurance of maturity of impact analyses.
- Reports to the NI Configuration Manager about DC activities and performance.
During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other types of equipment or projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in senior engineering/leadership/project management.
- Robust knowledge and extensive experience of the EPR design and engineering processes.
- Good understanding of requirements and expectations of UK laws, regulations, nuclear industry operating experience and best practices.
- Leadership experience in a highly regulated, technical environment.
- Ability to set objectives, drive performance of teams and report progress to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to set, achieve and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Excellent leadership, communication and collaborative skills; pro-active and ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders within a multicultural environment.
- Positive, calm and can-do attitude.
- Able to find pragmatic resolutions to multiple and often conflicting requests for resource and technical expertise, when under considerable time and delivery pressure.
- Experience interfacing with regulators would be an advantage.
