InvoiceCloud is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product, Payments to lead and execute our long-term payments strategy, reporting to our Chief Product Officer. This role will oversee a team of three Product Owners driving the evolution of our payment processing capabilities to deliver exceptional experience for both billers and payers. As a key member of the Product Management team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, R&D, and external partners to shape the future of InvoiceCloud’s payments ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute a Strategic Payments Vision: Define and communicate a comprehensive three-year payments strategy aligned with InvoiceCloud’s corporate strategy, including an annual Product Roadmap in collaboration with the R&D team. Continuously refine the strategy to align with emerging trends, technological advancements, and business objectives. Establish and monitor key payments metrics, developing initiatives to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Lead Payments Product Management Efforts: Oversee and mentor a team of three Product Owners, fostering their growth and ensuring the successful execution of strategic objectives. Guide product discovery, create business cases, and prioritize initiatives to refine the Product Roadmap. Provide oversight on project scopes, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Conduct deep-dive education sessions to equip Product & Engineering teams with the knowledge necessary to deliver high-quality payment solutions.
- Partner Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison with key payment partners, including Chase Paymentech, PayPal, and American Express. Collaborate with internal teams on contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and partnership expectations. Align partner roadmaps with InvoiceCloud’s strategic vision to drive mutual success. Coordinate and manage network updates to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
- Payments Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of market trends, technologies, and innovations to position InvoiceCloud as a payment leader. Share insights and educate internal teams to ensure roadmap alignment with industry developments. Represent InvoiceCloud in external thought leadership activities, strengthening the company’s presence and credibility.
- Advocate for Biller and Payer Success: Develop a deep understanding of biller and payer workflows to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. Drive initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and engagement across all touchpoints.
- Experience: 10+ years in a payments-focused Product role, with a proven track record of success in roadmap execution, team leadership, and increasing responsibilities. Working in a PayFac environment previously is required.
- Expertise: Hands-on experience with payment processors like JP Morgan Chase is highly desirable.
- Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to build and execute long-term payment strategies with measurable results.
