The Traveler Business Team has a mission to deliver the most convenient, rewarding, and memorable ways for people to travel and explore the world. Introduction to team
The Data Science, Competitive Intelligence team works with cutting-edge tools and technology to deliver high-quality outputs whilst meeting ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints. This diverse, international function requires a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Analyst to support in delivering high-quality insights and assist in managing cross-functional Competitive Intelligence projects. If you have a strong interest in analytics, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and grow then this is the role for you!
In this role you will:
- Assist in conducting research and analysis on competitor activities, market trends, and industry best practices to inform business strategy.
- Support querying large datasets and help translate data into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of the competitive intelligence function by identifying new data sources and enhancing existing analytics capabilities.
- Assist in consolidating internal communications, providing insights from various teams.
- Help develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track and analyze KPIs and performance metrics.
Experience and qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a numerical discipline: Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience in competitive intelligence, business analytics, or a related field is valued but not required.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with some proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and develop project management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely, both written and verbal.
- Ability to focus on the business relevant angles of analytical problems.
