This respected offshore law firm is looking for an experienced corporate lawyer to join one of the leading transactional teams in the market. For the right person, this could be the dream move. It offers exposure to high-quality international corporate work including M&A, joint ventures, capital markets and restructurings. The client base is comparable to any top-tier onshore firm, spanning many sectors but with a strong private equity focus. The work is technically complex, fast-moving, and highly rewarding.
Team sizes are smaller than a typical firm of this quality onshore, so you can expect lots of client contact, often working closely with a Partner but taking on plenty of responsibility in your own right. Prospects for career development are good, with the firm having a structured route for progression through the ranks, and numerous Partners who have done just that.
Requirements
- Overseas qualified lawyers must be admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand or Canada).
- Likely to suit someone with 3-6 years’ PQE (minimum 3 years’ PQE required for work permit).
- Experience of advising on high-value corporate work gained with a major onshore or offshore law firm is essential.
Package
- Attractive tax-free salary (expected to be in the range of USD160k-220k depending on experience).
- Comprehensive benefits and bonus.
- Relocation package (flights + temporary accommodation on arrival + expenses allowance).
Process
- Interviews will take place by videoconference.
- Start dates typically around 3-6 months later (depending on your notice period).
- Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with visas and relocation.
The Cayman Islands
A world-class international financial centre, Grand Cayman offers lawyers the opportunity to do high-quality and complex work that compares favourably with that in a leading onshore law firm. Outside of work, the climate lends itself to an outdoors lifestyle whether that be diving, sailing, relaxing on the beach or enjoying a bite to eat at a waterfront restaurant. Life here is good; rarely does anyone regret making the move.
