X4 Technology are partnered with a global energy trading company looking for a skilled Application Developer to join their team on a contract basis. In this role, you would join the agile IT team, supporting critical applications used in energy trading and asset management operations. You’d be working in a dynamic environment, contributing to the development and integration of solutions that support renewable energy trading, financial analytics, and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance and maintain applications using Java and TypeScript.
- Customise and support Endur (Openlink), including JVS and AVS scripting.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other developers in an agile setting.
- Implement APIs and services for internal and external data integrations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely support and resolution.
- Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure software quality through unit testing, automation, and documentation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Java development (Spring Boot, REST APIs).
- Solid front-end experience with TypeScript and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular or React).
- Hands-on experience with Endur (Openlink), including JVS and AVS scripting.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server or Oracle.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
