We are searching for an experienced Fanuc Programmer to fulfil the position of Applications Engineer in the Automation team, which will involve learning to program robots. You need to be a Fanuc Programmer with at least 5 years of experience on 5 axis machines.

As an Applications Engineer, you will provide factory-based and onsite customer training and set up new machines for customers, so excellent communication skills are essential. Applicants must have solid experience in offline CNC programming using Fanuc for 5 axis machines and be within a live commutable distance to Warwickshire. Although you will be predominantly based in the factory, you must also be willing and able to stay away from home Monday to Friday and travel across the UK as required.

Package:

  • Salary: £40K - £50K
  • Hybrid company car, fuel card, company credit card
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • 8% pension, private medical, life assurance

Requirements:

  • 5 years Fanuc offline programming experience is essential
  • At least 5 years of programming experience on 5 axis milling & turning machines
  • Level 3 apprentice trained - essential
  • Available to stay away Monday to Friday as required
  • Driving license

The Role:

  • Integrate robots with CNC machines
  • Set up and program new robots to meet customer requirements, testing both in the factory and on customer sites
  • Configure automated cells and complete customer pass-offs to prove out solutions
  • Demonstrate and provide customer training
  • Work in the factory predominantly and also on customer sites as required throughout the UK
